U.S. Sen. Bob Casey and U.S. Rep. Chaka Fattah are set to introduce legislation to authorize funding for the revitalization of the Centennial District in Fairmount Park.

The announcement of the Centennial District Master Plan will be at 11:45 a.m. today at the John Welsh Memorial Fountain at 4231 N. Concourse, in the park.

The Centennial District is the area from the Philadelphia Zoo to the Mann Center for the Performing Arts. Officials from the Philadelphia Zoo, the Please Touch Museum, the Mann Center for the Performing Arts and the Fairmount Park Conservancy will attend the master plan event.
