Want to make Philadelphia a place to be proud of? Join thousands of other volunteers on Saturday, April 5th for the Philly Spring Cleanup in the mission to remove 1 million pounds of litter from our streets.

And luckily, not all of that trash will be going to landfills. Recycling bags will also be provided so that volunteers can source separate recycling!

ELECTION DAY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED 

On April 22nd, you can help make history by volunteering just a few hours of your time for the non-partisan Committee of Seventy's Election Oversight Program. Citizen and Legal Teams will be assigned to a geographical area of their choice to provide assistance to voters, document complaints and help solve a vast assortment of problems. Office Headquarter volunteers will answer voters' calls and dispatch assistance.

CITY COUNCIL BUDGET HEARINGS 

Ever wonder how your tax dollars are spent? City Council is now in the process of holding Budget Hearings, where each Department reports on their activities and how money is spent.

EDENS LOST AND FOUND 
On Sunday, April 13th from 5-7pm WHYY-TV12 will air the Philadelphia episode of the acclaimed documentary Edens Lost & Found which tells inspiring stories of urban revitalization, followed by a Philadelphia Town Hall Meeting on environmental challenges.
The Town Hall Meeting was the first to be produced in conjunction with the Edens Lost & Found film series and features representatives from local parks, civic associations, environmental groups, state and local governments and students. Tune in!
