| The Great Expectations Citizens Convention took place on December 2nd from noon-5pm at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. A first draft of the citizens agenda, which includes many Next Great City recommendations, was presented and is now available for comments and suggestions. A final draft will be presented to the new mayor and City Council next year. Read the Citizens Agenda and then comment on what you think should be the top priorities of the next administration. | | | DECLARE YOUR ENERGY INDEPENDENCE | | The Energy Independence Strategy is a package of bills that would signficantly cut energy waste and help build a cleaner energy future for Pennsylvania. These critical pieces of legislation are pending in the Pennsylvania General Assembly and we must act now to pass them before the end of the year. - A Civic Vision for the Central Delaware was presented by Penn Praxis to a standing room only crowd at the Pennsylvania Convention Center. - Legislation to okay a new Street Furniture Program hits a wall as Council refuses to take the issue up this session.
